This section will provide you with an SSL secured location that different activities (with the right credentials) send statements to. This cannot be changed once you select your LRS site name.
To get started sending statements to Wax LRS, create a Basic authentication credential. (Note: You cannot use your Wax LRS administrator login for API access.)
Each system or activity that sends statements to your LRS endpoint must be authorized
by providing a set of activated OAuth or Basic Auth credentials.
You can create as many sets of credentials as you need by clicking the “Create New OAuth” or “Create New Basic” buttons in each section on this main setting page. They’ll show up in a list where you can add labels and deactivate them.
Wax makes it easy to quickly deactivate individual credentials for you security, without impacting other sets of credentials that may be sending data to your LRS site.
To deactivate a credential, click the “active” checkbox field. Credentials cannot be deleted at this time. A good best practice is: tag credentials so you know which applications or activities they belong to, by filling in the “label” field on the right side of each set of credentials, this is an arbitrary one word field.
Credential Tagging & Labels
Tag credentials so you know which applications or activities they belong to, by filling in the “label” field on the right side of each set of credentials, this is an arbitrary one word field. This field also serves as a way to manage permissions for report embedding via LTI and other things in the future.
